If you would like to start a network, please contact the Network Liaison
in the Alumni Office.
Once approved, your network will go through a probationary period of one year. Potential Networks will have a one year probationary period to:
- Use their $300 allotted budget from the Alumni Office
- Execute an event
- Establish a history of communication with network members
- Establish a fundraising initiative/goal
If these items are not accomplished in one year, the network will not be considered official by the Office of Alumni Relations. Once a network attempt fails, the group must wait 2 full calendar years from the date their probationary year ended to again attempt to gain Marymount Affinity Network status.
Currently Supported Networks
Currently supported Networks will have until June 30, 2011, to transition to the new guidelines. They will not be required to go through a probationary year, provided that on July 1, 2011, they have begun to follow the guidelines stated above. If the above guidelines (or steps towards those guidelines) are not met by July 1, 2011, the network will disband and the group must wait 2 full calendar years (until July 1, 2013) to attempt to gain Marymount Affinity Network status. They would go through the standard probationary period at that time.
